This is Volume 2 of a series of books that I have literally worked on for a good part of my life. I have spent way too much time editing each quotation and annotating most quotations with a brief (sometimes not so brief) biographical sketch of the person being quoted. For you Bible buffs, that is sort of of like discovering and stating the “context” for a scripture. Makes it more meaningful.My blood, sweat, and tears are embedded in each volume. So, yes, my fingerprints are on each page and my countless bio sketches are my creative contribution to this encyclopedia of quotations.You see, I have been collecting interesting, witty and/or humorous quotes for just about 60 years. It all started in earnest when I was a ministerial student at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. That was back in the Dawn of Civilization. My instructors, such as Dr. Batsell Barrett Baxter and Dr. Carroll Ellis, emphasized the usefulness of well-documented quotes in sermons and teaching materials.Volume 2 of this life-time collection has many hundreds of quotations from insightful women and men and covers 55 topics.
