  • Vintage Crock / Jug / Bean Pot, Roseville Pottery USA Blue Crown Robinson-Ransbottom, RRP #2 Glazed Crockery, Two Tone Brown & Beige, Kitchen Decor, Country / Farmhouse Decor, Cottagecore, Old World Style Collectible Ceramics, (Discontinued)
  • Made in Roseville, OH, USA
  • Vintage:  1960's - 1970's (estimated)
  • Details:  This is a large (and heavy!) crock / utilitarian jug, bean pot.  It was made by RRP Co (Robinson-Ransbottom) in Roseville Ohio.  An embossed "USA" mark is visible, however, it is also stamped with the company’s unmistakable blue crown emblem.  It is in the much desired, and collectible, brown and beige glazed style.  Interesting shape with only one side handle, this is commonly known as a bean pot, perhaps it's more of a "jug".  It is in wonderful condition, except there is no lid, perfect used as a vase, for rolling pins, kitchen utensils, etc. This is a very heavy piece, please keep that in mind at check-out.  Perfect for a country or farmhouse home, and great piece for a Fall decor vignette.
  • Material:  Stoneware Ceramic
  • Dimensions:  5.75 inches Tall, approx. 7.0 inches in Diameter (at its widest point).  Holds 2Qt to the very top.
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Condition.  This jug is really in wonderful condition, it didn't get an Excellent rating because the lid is missing.  There are no chips or cracks, no issues at all noted.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.

The R.R.P. CO. was founded by the Ransbottom Brothers in 1900 in Ironspot, Ohio.  By 1916 Ransbottom Pottery was the largest producer of stoneware jars in America.  In 1920, they merged with the Robinson Clay Product Company of Akron, Ohio, to become Robinson-Ransbottom. At the beginning, Robinson-Ransbottom made jardinieres and red flower pots, then expanded into garden ware when it merged with the Robinson Clay Product Company.  RRP manufactured had several different trademarks like: Old Colony, Rustic Ware, Luxor, Tionesta Art Ware, Meal Makers Oven Ware and Early Stoneware American. Old Colony and Rustic Ware were introduced in the 1930s, with Old Colony remaining in production until 1940.  Rustic Ware was being produced into the 1960s.  The factory closed in 2005.
